Dewey Bramwell

Howard (Dewey) Bramwell son of the late Thalmon & Beulah (Lemons ) Bramwell, was born at home in Windyville, Missouri on February 15, 1944 and passed from this life on Saturday June 11, 2022 peacefully at his home near Buffalo, Missouri surrounded by his family. At the time of his passing he was seventy-eight years of age. Dewey was united in marriage to Janice Sue Alford on May 15, 1965, at her parents home in Buffalo, Missouri. Together they were blessed with one daughter Melissa. Dewey graduated from Windyville High School in 1962. Following graduation, he lived in Springfield, Missouri and worked for Borbein-Young Company as a salesman. In 1968 Dewey and Janice moved back to Buffalo and bought a farm. He continued his career in sales and raised beef cattle. He was an excellent salesman, but his passion was farming. In 1995 he retired to farm full-time. Dewey made his profession of faith at an early age. He attended church throughout his life serving as Sunday school teacher and deacon for many years and is a member of Legacy Baptist Church. He strived to live his life as a man of faith. The joy of his life was his family. He was so proud of his daughter and grandchildren. They brought joy to his life and he loved spending time with them. His laugh was contagious and he loved to tell stories. Dewey was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Noma Cline. He is survived by his wife Janice; his daughter Melissa and husband Ricky; grandchildren Chadrick Bennett, Madison Bennett, Megan Bennett and husband Josh Portis, Dalton Bennett and wife Abby Bennett. Great grandchildren; Alyea Portis, Cameron Portis, Scarlet Portis, Kayedon Portis, Wyatt Bennett and Haiden Bennett all of Buffalo, MO. Two brothers Dennie and Joan Bramwell of Windyville, Dennis and Sandy Bramwell of Kansas City, KS and one sister Rosemary Smith of Springfield, MO. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 in the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home. Escorts will be Chad Bennett, Dalton Bennett, Greg Bramwell, Ricky Bennett, Robert Maybary, and Greg Wommack. Honorary escorts will be Megan Bennett, Madison Bennett, Franky Phillips. Interment will be in the Lone Rock Cemetery under the care and direction of the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Legacy Baptist Church or the St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
