Pearl Ann Henrikson

Pearl Ann (Peterson) Henrikson, 74, of Buffalo, MO (formerly Eudora, KS) passed away on January 14, 2017 at The University of Kansas Medical Center. Pearl was born February 11, 1942 in Woodhill, MO to Edwin and Rosie (Taylor) Peterson. She was a graduate of Eudora High School in 1960. On September 10, 1961 Pearl married Robert Henrikson in Eudora, KS where they lived for approximately 38 years. During their 55 years of marriage they were fond of traveling (visiting all 50 states, 5 Canadian Provinces, Mexico and the Caribbean); singing duets at church and being youth leaders. She was a member of Calvary Chapel Freewill Baptist Church in Buffalo, MO. Pearl enjoyed quilting, sewing and various other crafts; gardening; canning; baking and singing. She was a beloved and caring mother as a room parent; field trip chaperone; attending all school events; making custom birthday cakes and being loved by all her daughters’ friends. Pearl was preceded in death by her father, Edwin Peterson. She is survived by her husband, Robert, Buffalo, MO; daughters, Anita (Gordon) Rogier, Lawrence, KS; Tanya Rhodd (Brian Griffith), Eudora, KS; Tracey (Doug) Dillon, Lawrence, KS; grandchildren, Jorden, Austin, Corey, Caleb, Nicole, Hanna, Seth, Chantel and Cameron; great-granddaughter, Sofia; mother, Rosie, Buffalo, MO; sister, Kay (Leon) Pesnell, Eudora, KS; brothers, Larry (Joanne) Peterson, Berryton, KS, Tony (Debbie) Peterson, Eustace, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be 21:30 pm on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Calvary Chapel Freewill Baptist Church, 26 Oak Ridge Road, Buffalo, Missouri with Dr. Doug Earls and pastor Mark Elliott officiating. Music was by Christy Busselle who sang "Sheltered In The Arms Of God" "Stepping On The Clouds" by Betsy Earls and Christy Busselle and "Amazing Grace" by the congregation led by Randy Boggs. Casketbearers were: Jorden Wise, Austin Dillon, Corey Wise, Caleb Griffith, Nicole Rogier, Hanna Rhodd, Seth Griffith, Chantel Rogier, and Cameron Dillon. Burial service was in Maple Lawn Cemetery under the direction of the Montgomery-Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo. The family would like to express our thanks for the loving and wonderful care given by the staff of The University of Kansas Medical Center.
