Woneatta Smith

Leona Woneatta Smith age 93 of Buffalo passed away Monday November 14, 2016 in the Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar, Mo. Daughter of Henry James and Nettie Mae (Pfiefer) Campbell she was born February 24, 1923 near Rock Prairie in Polk County Mo. She and Burl Smith were married Oct 30, 1940 and to this union 2 children were born, Ruth Lucille and Gary Burl. They spent their married life North West of Buffalo near the old Crescent school. She was a Homemaker and farmer. Her life was her family and friends and church. She was saved in March 1937 and joined the Missionary Baptist Church at Red Top Mo. At the time of her death she was a member of the Reynolds Chapel Missionary Baptist Church where she was a faithful member. Preceding her in death were her Husband Burl Smith, Her Parents Henry and Nettie (Pfiefer) Campbell Patterson, Her Grandparents Jerry and Jane Pfiefer and Caroline Campbell, four Brothers Raymond, Wayne, Orville Lee and Melvin Campbell, Son-In-Law Jack Dick, Daughter-In-Law Donna Ray Smith, Great Grandchildren Matt Zielsdorf, and Morgan Michelle Smith and all her Uncles and Aunts whom she loved dearly. She leaves her children Lucille Dick and Gary Smith, Grandchildren Brenda and Gary Pringle, Jack Jr. and Cheryl Dick, Brian and Heather Smith, Mike and Doris Smith, Eric and Kelly Zielsdorf, Nancy and Greg Vickery. Great Grandkids Brian Jr., J.T. and Kali Dick, Kyle and Madison Dick, Jeremy, Tyler and Laura Smith, Joey and Jim Zielsdorf and one Brother Paul Patterson. And a host of Nieces and Nephews. She loved her God, family and friends. She will be missed by all who knew her. Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday November 19, 2016 in the Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Floy Parrack officiating. With Burial to follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery. A poem will be read by Larry Gann and the pianist will be Judy Ahart, singers will be Jerry Campbell and Madison Dick. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Johnson, Jeffery Johnson, Dustin Gann, Robbie Gann, Tyler Ross, Scott Campbell, Roger D. Rankin, and Steve Johnson. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday in the Funeral Home under the direction of the Montgomery-Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo. Memorials may be made to Reynolds Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.
