Mrs. Bertha Lorene Hildebrand

February 10, 1932 - February 9, 2019

Bertha “Lorene” Hildebrand, aged 86, passed away on February 9th, 2019 in Buffalo, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her mother Elizabeth (Turner) White, Hardin Dixon White, and her siblings: Marie Weeks, Pauline Robie, Robert, Herbert, Hubert, Elbert, Bill, Floyd and Leroy White. She is survived by her brother Clifford White, and her children: Judy Gray, Loretta Sherman, Mary, Jerry, Jim, Johnathan, Jamie Hildebrand and many wonderful grandchildren and great grandchildren. Lorene was born on February 10th, 1932 and grew up on a 120-acre farm just North of March, MO. She had a self-described “wonderful childhood” with her eight brothers and two sisters. She would recall how they would spend most evenings listening as their dad read to them from the Bible. After the reading was done, they would get their guitars and hymn books and sing and play until bedtime. She learned to play the guitar at the age of eight and gave her heart to the Lord at twelve years old. Throughout the rest of her life her love for God and music were always present. Preaching the Word and playing music weaved throughout her story as she shared the Gospel leading many to the Lord. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at the Cantlon Otterness & Viets Chapel with Bro. Dean Clemmer officiating. Escorts will be Jamie Hildebrand, J. D. Hildebrand, Tom Gray, Jerry Hildebrand, Terry Sherman, and Tim Robie. Honorary escorts will be Jim Hildebrand and Jerry Hildebrand. Interment will be in the Dooley Bend Cemetery under the direction of the Cantlon Otterness & Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Assemblies of God.
