Rev. Bobbie Dean Davidson

August 10, 1945 - June 21, 2021

Rev. Bob Davidson was born on August 10, 1945 and departed this life on June 21, 2021 at his home in Buffalo, Missouri, at the age of 75. Rev. Bob Davidson was the Pastor and founder of The Chief Cornerstone Church of 20 years, along with his wife, DeEtta, where they served their church family and community. He was also an over the road trucker for many years until he retired in 2020 to focus more time on his love and passion for the Church. He was the most optimistic, encouraging, and greatest man you would ever meet. Everywhere he went he always made it a point to give his word of testimony and witness to all those he came in contact with. Up until his last moments, he managed to make his way to Church to be in worship. One of the greatest messages he preached was “Too blessed to Be Stressed” and those words he lived by until the Lord called him home. In his leisure time he enjoyed playing golf, camping, and coon hunting with his family and friends. Though he will be missed by many friends, loved ones, and family members upon this earth, we know there will come a time that we will meet again on the other side of Jordan. One of Rev. Bob’s favorite sayings was, “Let’s go to Heaven together.” Rev. Bob is survived by his wife DeEtta of the home; one sister, Francis VanWinkle of Beryville, AR; one brother, Thomas Davidson of Ozark, MO; his children, Randy & wife Christina Davidson of Buffalo, MO, Gloria & husband Rick Rush of Springfield, MO, Renee & husband Joh Sulfridge of Arkansas, Bobbie & wife Kelly Davidson of Marshfield, MO, and Reggie & wife Kim Turner of Buffalo, MO; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who will miss him greatly. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 25, 2021in The Chief Cornerstone Church with Bro. Mike McConnaughey and Brother Rocky Owens officiating. Escorts will be Reggie Turner, Chris Hendrickson, Brandon Kenell, Justin Kenell, Aaron Weaver, and Jason Gaynor. Honorary escorts will be Randy Davidson and Bobbie Davidson, Jr. Interment will be in the Maple Lawn Cemetery under the care and direction of the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Chief Cornerstone Church.
