Jacqueline Ann Kelley

June 17, 1961 - May 6, 2020

Jacqueline Ann Kelley, daughter of Gary and Cecile Boggs, was born on the 17th of June, in 1961 in Tawas City, Michigan, and departed this life on the 6th of May 2020 in her home in Urbana, Missouri. At the time of her passing, she was nearly 59. Jacqueline started her schooling in Hamilton, Ohio before moving with her family and settling in the countryside of Southwest Missouri, where Jacqueline attended Skyline High School, graduating and continuing on to Missouri State where she earned her Bachelors of Science in Recreational Therapy. In her early years, Jacqueline excelled at both athletics and academics, frequently being at the top of her classes in multiple athletic scores. She was a skilled gymnast and could a ride a unicycle like no other. As a child, she enjoyed trips to her grandmother’s farm, and spending time outdoors mowing the yard and riding horses. Whether it be school, or athletics, Jacqueline became known early on for giving 100% at whatever she was doing. Jacqueline wasted no time putting her amazing personality and unique skillset to work, helping found the Applewood Lane Company. Through Applewood Lane, Jacqueline, her sister Sandra, and parents Gary and Cecile all worked towards the common goal of increasing the quality of life for developmentally disabled peoples all over Southwest Missouri, eventually expanding with homes in Springfield, Carthage, Urbana, Lebanon Cross Timbers, and Humansville. Jacqueline’s dream from an early point in her life was to serve people who were less fortunate in life. Through hard work, dedication, persistence, love, and care, she turned this dream into a reality, changing the lives of hundreds of people on her path through life. Her pride and joy in this life was her boys, Sean, Tanner, and Kade. She was enormously proud of both their athletic and academic achievements, and never missed a game. She loved her boys and her husband, Gary, more than anything on this earth, and continually supported them in all ventures and walks of life. Jacqueline loved watching cooking shows, Little House on the Prairie, and Will and Grace. She loved Reba McIntire, Pat Benatar, and Beyoncé, and could keep a hand-tap beat while driving to any song, with a beautiful hum and voice to follow. Jacqueline loved antiques, the horse races at Oaklawn, trips to St. John, and spending time poolside at Nana and Papa’s, as well as traveling to her son’s sporting activities; no matter how far. If it was family related whatsoever, Jacqueline was there. Jacqueline was preceded in death by her mother, Cecile, and one son, Dane. She is survived by her father, Gary Boggs; sister, Sandra Rutherford; husband, Gary Kelley; three sons, Sean, Tanner, and Kade and wife Annie. Jacqueline left an insurmountable number of lives better off, with friends and families who will miss her for the rest of their days.
