Services are 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 20, at Montgomery-Viets Chapel with the Rev. Ken Morris officiating. Recorded selections of “The Old Rugged Cross,” “How Great Thou Art” and “God Be With You Till We Meet Again,” were played. Burial is in Kirk’s Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Montgomery-Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo. Memorials may be made to the Kirk’s Chapel Cemetery. Escorts are Jeff Sensenig, Sean Sensenig, Carlon Clopp, Clif Smith, Scott Schlup and Colson Kirk. Marjorie Jean Kirk was born Aug. 6, 1933, near Branch, the daughter of Charley and Alta (Green) Wright. She died Oct. 16, 2010. She attended school at Mill School near Branch and graduated from Macks Creek High School in 1951. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Branch Assembly of God Church and later a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church near Lead Mine. She was united in marriage with Donald Wayne Kirk on Sept. 5, 1951, in Harrison, Ark. They spent a few years in Kansas City working before coming back to Celt where they farmed and raised their family. They later moved to Lead Mine where they lived and farmed for 30 years. She worked hard as a farm wife, helping to milk, raise cattle and hogs, always had a big garden and was known for being able to put a wonderful meal on the table in a short time. Her husband and sons were avid hunters and fishermen, and she was always willing to cook anything they brought home. She was a devoted wife, mom and grandma, loved each and every one of her children and grandchildren, and was always very proud of them and their accomplishments. She was preceded in death by her parents; all of her siblings: Ruby Sudbrock, Mary Jane Garcia, and Sonny and Roy Wright; and two grandson: Mark David and Casey Wayne. Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Donald; her daughter, Donna and husband, Clif Smith; her sons: Bobby and wife, Gwen Kirk, and Wade Kirk, all of Tunas; and Terry and wife, Deanna Kirk, Urbana; her grandchildren: Scott Schlup, Heather McDaniel-Becker, Tyler Hicks, Casteel, Colson, Shelby and Baylie Kirk, and Niki Sokolik; and four great-grandchildren.
