Wanda Jo Moon

Wanda Jo Moon was born on June 21st, 1962 and was taken from this world on July 6th, 2017. She was born in Ventura California and was the daughter of Caroline Yarbrough and Frank Winget and older sister to Frankie Jr. Wanda was also known as “Wonder” because friends and family were always wondering what she would do next. Wanda was a mother to all, whether they were younger or older than herself. She was a kind hearted, free spirited woman who always stood up for what she believed in and protected those she loved. Wanda’s true joys were her children and grandchildren. She sacrificed many things in her own life to make sure they had what she could offer them. It did not matter who you were or where you came from, if you needed something, she would be the first person to try and offer help, shelter, food, or clothes. She wanted to be an Abuse Counselor to assist others so they would not live the life of abuse she had always lived. She always had a story to share, a laugh to provide, and a strong hug for anyone who needed it. Wanda was not just a mother and a grandmother, but a Biker, an Indian, and Momma Moon to many. She loved dream catchers, Harley Davidsons, Pit Bulls and nature. She also loved Rock Oldies, guitars, fun times, and the Ocean. She will be truly missed and forever remembered by many souls she touched on a daily basis. Wanda is survived by her children, Richard Tubb and Stormy Acuna. As well as her blood sisters, Betty, Tricia, Mary, Cindy and many more. She was a grandma to Jolene, Charlotte, Kylie, Lil Man (Richard) Hunter and many more who were family, friends, and adopted kids (meaning she just took you under her wing and didn’t let go). She may be gone, but never will she be forgotten. In her words, “Love you to the Moon and back,” and many do, love Wanda to the moon and back. Funeral services will be conducted on Satruday, July 15, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Cantlon Otterness Funeral Home with Pastor Dave Van Bebber officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 8:30-10:00 prior to the service. Memorial Contributions may be made out to Bikers against Child Abuse and left with the funeral home.
